Introduction — Who I Am
I’ve been proud to call White Rock home for nearly 20 years. Like so many others, I love this city for its natural beauty, its small-town character, and the vibrant, passionate community that makes it special.
I chose to run for Council because I believe leadership is about showing up, doing the work, and making thoughtful decisions that protect not just today, but the future of White Rock for our children and the generations still to come.
Why I Serve
Being a City Councillor is a responsibility I take seriously. Every decision I make affects real people — from homeowners to small businesses to families just starting out.
I’m guided by one simple principle: I make decisions with integrity, based on facts, fairness, and what’s best for the entire community — not just a few voices.
Sometimes that means making tough choices. But at the end of the day, I need to be able to sleep at night, knowing I did what I truly believe is right for White Rock — based on the best information available.
How I Make Decisions

Good leadership means being prepared, informed, and balanced. That’s how I approach every decision on council:
I Study: I read every report, bylaw, and staff recommendation.
I Ask Questions: I seek clarity and dig into the details — because sound policy comes from full understanding.
I Listen Thoughtfully: I consider input from the public, but I also look at the broader context — who is speaking, what their interests are, and whether concerns are supported by facts.
I Check the Facts: If a concern is raised, I ask: Is it accurate? Has the City already considered this? Have steps been taken to address it? I need to be satisfied that concerns are being handled responsibly and with evidence.
I Weigh the Big Picture: I consider the short-term impacts and long-term consequences — for today’s residents and for those who can’t yet vote or haven’t been born yet.
My job is not to advocate for one group or one viewpoint. My job is to govern for all — and to fulfill my fiduciary duty to every person in White Rock, now and in the future.
That’s what responsible, accountable leadership looks like.
Staying Informed & Connected
You can’t lead well if you don’t understand the job. That’s why I continuously educate myself to better serve you:
I attend Local Government Leadership Academy (LGLA) training every year to deepen my understanding of governance and legal responsibilities.
I represent White Rock at the Lower Mainland Local Government Association (LMLGA) conferences — and I proudly served on the LMLGA Board (2023-2024) to ensure our city has a voice on regional issues.
Beyond council chambers, I stay connected to the community by being present, listening, and getting involved. I serve on:
White Rock Farmers Market — President
Semiahmoo Arts Society – Treasurer/Secretary
South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce — Council Liaison
- LMLGA — Board Member (2023-2024)
Whether it’s local events, community gatherings, or weekend markets, I make the effort to be there — because staying engaged and connected to the people I serve matters.
Experience & Accomplishments
Since being elected in 2022, I’ve worked hard to deliver real results:
Led the development of White Rock’s first Affordable Housing Strategy
Championed infrastructure upgrades to Johnston Road
Supported bringing back the Friday Night Market
Advocated for responsible growth, improved accessibility, and better transit connections

A Final Word
I believe White Rock deserves thoughtful leadership — the kind that plans for the future, protects what makes this city special, and ensures we continue to grow in a way that works for everyone.
For me, it’s not about politics or advocacy for one group — it’s about governing responsibly for all 22,000+ residents of White Rock, and for the generations who will live here long after us.
I’m committed to supporting smart growth, improving our infrastructure, making the city more vibrant, and creating spaces where residents, families, businesses, and visitors can thrive.
That means staying informed, asking tough questions, listening carefully, and always keeping the big picture in mind.
I love this city. I believe in its potential. And I’ll continue working hard to make White Rock an even better place to live — now and for the future.
